FUN HOUSE
It has been said that in looking at ordinary things, we are responsible for what we see.
I am what I feel, and I feel what I see.
I see what I feel. I see what I am.
The Fun House exhibition mirrors our perceptions and mutual corruptions the moment we view anything at all.
The exhibition included 6 giant hand built Polaroids painstakingly made out of wood, acrylic, vinyl, texture, and fabric, featuring enlarged chromogenic printed Polaroid photos; and 10 regular Polaroids. Each photo chosen was taken within the last two years, + revealed an abstract "corruption," or juxtaposition. Dead grass surrounding a brand new building, a shadow piercing a bush, vanity + technology, missing pieces, a fallen tree against a sturdy wooden fence, a peninsula enveloped by sky, aging playfully, passed out in a Miami Walgreen's Parking lot, elegance vs nature, alone inside a space made for hundreds, a stopped car that looks like it's moving, a loner bird in front of a pack of them, a cowboy's hat becomes his face; sex, drugs, and rock + roll. Life. Find the entire series under the tab Shows: Fun House / Cleveland Print Room.
